The Volcanic Alert Level Information Database was populated by examining each Volcanic Alert Level (VAL) system in detail and recording VAL metadata. Some VAL metadata was not always readily apparent. In these cases, best judgment was used to classify the VAL system. As such, there may be errors in some VAL system metadata fields, which can be corrected if brought to our attention at [email protected].
If writing to make a correction, please include your name, institution, the name and url of the VAL system needing correction, and a description of the problem.
To suggest an addition to the database, please include your name, institution, and as much information about the suggested VAL system as possible, including a url, if possible.
Please also report any bugs or problems with the search functions or website in general.
